Director Manikandan, who wrapped up Aandavan Kattalai last month, has been concentrating on the release of his second venture, Kuttrame Thandanai. In an exclusive interview with Behindwoods, Manikandan said, "The title for this film, Kuttrame Thandanai, was coined by Ilaiyaraaja sir. Many people told me not to approach Ilaiyaraaja for music, but I felt, Raaja sir would be the perfect man for this film. And the music for this film has come out really good. Also, I have got the remake rights for a Hollywood project.” His first movie Kaakka Muttai was both commercially successful and critically acclaimed. Filmmaker from the Northeast to look out for Chow Partha Borgohain, after his schooling in Namsai, Arunachal Pradesh, completed a photography and filmmaking course at the Madras Christian College and later joined the Mindscreen Film Institute to study film and motion photography. Thereafter, he worked as an assistant to renowned cinematographer and director Rajiv Menon, where he worked on various feature films and advertisements. His latest achievements are a feature film 1962: My Country Land which has been screened at the Cannes International Film Festival.
